62. Visit Luray Caverns

Date completed: 3 October 2012

The other day I got a wild hair and decided I wanted to go to Luray Caverns. I love tacky tourist traps, and while the blatant alteration of the natural beauty in order to make it more people-friendly was kind of appalling, I enjoyed myself. Not that I'd necessarily recommend it to anyone else: $24 per person is a bit steep for an hour-long tour. Still, the views were lovely and my husband enjoyed taking lots of pictures.
