8. Drink only water for one week

Something tells me I will not be completing this one any time soon, if ever. I came out of my surgery with a pounding caffeine headache, so they gave me a can of Coke before I even left the hospital. Resolved to succeed, I tried again, only to suffer more violent headaches a couple days later, of the sort that not even the heavy prescription narcotics could defeat. Deciding that I really didn't feel like dealing with head pain on top of the ankle issues, I succumbed to my addiction. I might try again someday, but for now I'm kind of okay with the idea of failing this one.

30. Fill pink camo book

Completed 7 August 2011

I've put off posting about this one because I wanted to get some photographs of the finished product. But I also wanted to update my completed percentage. So I'll post photos another time. In the meantime: whoopee! :D

3. Write one thing I'm grateful for in my diary every day for a month

I started this on the first of August, and so far it's going well. I've read about gratitude journals in the past, and decided maybe it was time to try it out for myself. My only requirement is that it's something I am actuall grateful for, earnestly and not passive-aggressively (such as being grateful nothing else has gone to crap that day).

Considering what a difficult month it's been, this has turned out to be one of the best months I could have chosen for this project. It's really helped me see the positive side of every day.

101. Watch the DVDs I own but have not seen.

We did a little downsizing to the DVD shelves recently, so I had to strike Cross Bones and The Passion of the Christ from the list unwatched. I'm not sorry. And yes, I am just crossing them off, not deleting them from the list, which brings my watched percentage up to 28%. Is that cheating? I don't care.
