74. Collect 5 National Park Passport stamps

Went into DC with cookiesthings to smash some pennies, and along the way we stopped to get some passport stamps. We started at the Old Post Office, where we picked up a couple, but then we made it to the Washington Monument Bookstore, which has oodles.



Some of those are repeats, either because the first try wasn't perfect or because the Washington Monument bookstore has the same stamps as the Old Post Office, but I think it's safe to count this thing as complete. :)

Thing 43 - strike 1

43. Participate in 24-Hour Comics Day

I had every intention of participating in this year's 24-Hour Comics Day, going on today. Then I unexpectedly was sent to New Jersey for a day on Wednesday, returning home after midnight Friday morning. In addition, registration for the 2011 BookCrossing Convention opened on Friday as well, so I was working hard to help get everything ready for that too. I just had too much else going on, and I was so run-down I felt I was going to start getting sick. So I decided sleeping and catching up on my other chores (like putting away laundry) would be a better use of my time today.

Luckily, I have two more chances at this one. Maybe next year will be less crazy.
