48. Attend 5 write-ins

My dear friend just_the_things is holding weekly write-ins for the month of July, and our first one was my last one to complete this particular Thing. (I'm still going to attend the rest, of course.) I was remarkably productive, completing not only a writing challenge for a new group I'm in but churning out an entire short story in response to that challenge (which was not required). So I'm quite chuffed with myself, thank you very much. :)

I attended a long pre-Thanksgiving write-in with just_the_things on Wednesday, November 24. I wrote a lot of words, but in general I don't think I'm all that interested in NaNoWriMo this year. Which is fine. It wasn't one of my things, after all. ;)

Write-in, November 10. The cafe wasn't actually orange. My phone does strange things with insufficient light.

It's NaNoWriMo again and I'm participating for the first time since 2006. I forgot to mention the write-in I attended on November 3, at which I finally got back on track in terms of word count. I then proceeded to write exactly nothing for the next several days, starting the write-in on November 10 with a severe wordcount deficit. Didn't get caught up, but it wasn't too bad. I'm just so not stressed about this it's unbelievable.

I'm hoping to close out this Thing by the end of the month. I guess we'll see.

A friend of mine holds monthly write-ins at the cafe inside Borders. I attend when I can, but this was my first chance since my 1001 days began. I was there about four hours.
