Thing 2 - I did it all for the plushie.

2. Donate blood 5 times

Current progress: 2/5

I primarily give blood at Inova, the local hospital chain around these parts. As soon as I am eligible to donate again (and, on occasion, even before then), I start getting weekly phonecalls from vampires the blood bank asking me to give more. I'm guessing I must have tasty blood like Bella Swan a much-needed blood type. I actually skipped an American Red Cross blood drive last month because I didn't want to have to start fielding their calls too.

Inova services the more than one million residents of Fairfax County. Because they are so often thirsty in need of blood, they hold a lot of blood donation "festivals," often with some pretty sweet swag. I already have a messenger bag and a couple t-shirts, and this time I got an exclusive Washington Nationals plushie from Build-a-Bear Workshop. I have absolutely no idea what I'll do with him, but I am weak in the face of cuteness.
